Non-Contact Biosignal Measurement by Active Stereo
We realized simultaneous measurement of human body shape and biological signal by applying active stereo. Non-contact measurement of cardiac pulsation and respiration appearing on the chest surface is expected to be applied to medical monitoring with low invasiveness.

The measurement system consists of a projector and a camera. Three-dimensional shape is reconstructed from the pattern light projected on the chest surface.

Time series data of a slight change in three dimensional shape is calculated as a waveform including noise, but noise can be removed by simple signal processing. That is, it is possible to extract a hidden biological signal (heartbeat / respiration.)

For example, by expressing changes due to heartbeat by a color map, application as a "stethoscope to check with the eyes" is expected.
